I’m a freelance Arabic-English translator and proofreader. I’m also studying for a Masters in Translation Studies from the University of Portsmouth. When I’m not buried under translation books or posting my thoughts about Arabic on this blog, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family in both the US and UK, and traveling through the Middle East with my ever supportive husband, Iain.

I’m starting the Arabic-English translation course this year- thirty years after taking my first degree (in Russian)! I work in Geneva as a translator but live across the border in France. Yes I work as a freelance Arabic-English translator, although at the moment I’m more focused on completing my MA in Translation Studies. That prompted me to start writing this blog to post my thoughts and feelings about Arabic translation!
